Men's Shawl Lapel Three Piece Tuxedo Suit
Description
As the ceremony gives way to candlelight, dinner and the first dance, a black three piece brings a timeless sense of occasion. This suit pairs a smooth, lustrous shawl lapel with a more matte-looking black body, creating a subtle contrast that comes into focus as the light changes. The rounded lapel flows toward a single-button front, framing the shirt and tie with a clean, continuous line.
A matching black vest and pants complete the outfit. It is a considered choice for a groom who wants a traditional evening look with the finishing details of formalwear.

Why Wedding Parties Choose This Suit
-
A shawl lapel with a distinctive sheen. The smooth, rounded lapel contrasts with the body of the jacket, giving the black outfit depth without adding another color or pattern.
-
A single-button front that keeps the design focused. One fastening point leaves a clean expanse across the jacket and lets the curved lapel remain the main detail.
-
A complete three piece for the wedding day. The matching vest adds a finished layer beneath the jacket. At the reception, it keeps the outfit coordinated when the jacket comes off.
-
Black gives your wedding details a clear backdrop. An ivory boutonniere, a white pocket square or a tie in your wedding color stands out clearly against the dark suit.
-
Easy to coordinate across the party. Matching black suits create a consistent foundation for groomsmen. Different accessories can distinguish the groom while keeping the group visually connected.
-
A style to return to for special evenings. The black color and understated design work for anniversary dinners, formal receptions and other celebrations where evening tailoring fits the dress code.

Styling Notes
Bow tie or necktie? A black bow tie emphasizes the shawl lapel's traditional evening character. A burgundy necktie, as shown, brings a warmer accent and gives the outfit a different mood. Browse our ties and bow ties to coordinate your look.
Which shirt should you choose? A crisp white dress shirt creates a clear contrast against the black jacket and vest. Keep the collar neat and choose one that works comfortably with your preferred tie or bow tie.
What pocket square works best? A plain white pocket square gives a restrained finish. An ivory or subtly colored option can connect the outfit to your flowers or wedding palette. Explore our pocket squares for coordinating choices.
What shoes complete the outfit? Polished black leather shoes keep the look consistent. Simple Oxfords create a clean combination for a formal wedding; choose the finish according to the event's dress code.
How does the groom stand out? Keep the party in black and distinguish the groom with an ivory tie, a different pocket square or a special boutonniere. These small differences show clearly against a coordinated dark foundation. Browse our groom suits for more wedding options.
How should the jacket be worn? Fasten the single button while standing if comfortable, and unbutton it before sitting. When the jacket is open, the matching vest maintains a finished front.
Preparing for alterations? Wear your intended dress shirt and bring your event shoes to the fitting. This helps your tailor assess the jacket, vest and trouser length together.

Size and Fit
Choosing the right size is the most important step, especially for a wedding. A few things to know before you order:
Jacket and pants are sized separately on our suits, so you can choose a different size for each piece.
Pants on our suits ship unhemmed with a 35 inch inseam, so a local tailor can hem them to your exact length.
Try the suit on at home before you take the pants to a tailor. Items that have been altered cannot be returned.
If you are between sizes, compare your measurements with our Size Guide, or email us your height, weight and usual sizes and we will help you choose.
Not sure how to measure? Our How to Measure guide shows each measurement step by step with pictures.
Standard sizes not working for you? If your jacket and pant sizes never match, or sleeves are always too long or too short, a made to measure suit may fit you better.
